Privacy Policy

Roots Marketing Co (Lindsay Fenn) is the data controller for personal data collected through rootsmarketingco.uk and The Roots Club. Contact: lindsay@rootsmarketingco.uk.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, business name and password (stored encrypted).
• Your profile: audience, scorecard answers, Roots Growth Phase, brand profile and Brand Foundations.
• How you use the club: questions and answers, ratings, templates you open, reviews you leave and call questions you send.
• Payment status from Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Why we use it

To provide and personalise the service (contract), to improve the knowledge bank and product (legitimate interests), to send service emails such as your weekly on-track email, and to send marketing emails only where you've opted in (consent).

Who we share it with

Service providers who help us run the club: hosting, Stripe (payments), our email provider, and an AI model provider that processes your question to draft an answer. We never sell your data, and we never show your questions to other members.

How long we keep it

While you're a member, and for up to 2 years after you leave, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing lindsay@rootsmarketingco.uk. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
